- 2004 Pennsylvania long-term care workforce surveys: A report to the Pennsylvania Intra-Governmental Council on Long-Term Care (pdf) Three surveys of Pennsylvania long-term care stakeholders — one of employers, one of direct-care workers, and one of consumers who direct their own care — found that most employers offer insurance, but only to full-time workers.

Finding Health Insurance
Several programs offer health insurance coverage for people that cannot afford to buy it on their own in Pennsylvania. You will qualify if you are a parent living with a child, if you are pregnant, or if you have certain types of disabilities. Adults without dependents may also qualify for the ADULT Basic program, but there is a waiting list. Children can often get coverage even if their parents don’t qualify because the income limits for children are higher.
