Better Jobs Better Care

The Iowa Better Jobs Better Care (BJBC) coalition has been working since 2003 to help ensure a stable, quality direct-care workforce to assist the state’s elders and people with disabilities.

Led by the Iowa Caregivers Association (ICA), it consists of providers, worker and consumer groups, advocates, state officials and other long-term care stakeholders. Expanding health insurance coverage for direct-care workers has been one of the coalition’s top priorities.
